THE LOVE WALK - 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Love SUFFERS LONG (help me Lord to have patience with others) and IS KIND (help me Lord to do acts of kindness to lift others up).

Love DOES NOT ENVY (help me to rejoice when others get ahead or are lifted up in ministry, let me be an encouragement to them). Love DOES NOT PARADE ITSELF (help me to be humble Lord, and not push myself forward, let me only boast in You).

Love IS NOT PUFFED UP (let there be no pride in me Lord, I acknowledge that all I have comes from You). Love DOES NOT BEHAVE RUDELY (help me to treat others with courtesy, thinking of them before myself)

Love DOES NOT SEEK ITS OWN (help me Lord to be unselfish in my motives always wanting the best for others) Love IS NOT PROVOKED (Lord help me to be slow to anger, and to never take offence

Love THINKS NO EVIL (Father I determine to bless those that curse me and pray for those who spitefully use me and only think the best of others).  Love DOES NOT REJOICE IN INIQUITY (let me feel a godly sorrow for those who fall into sin) But REJOICES IN THE TRUTH (Lord, help me to rejoice in truth in all things).

Love BEARS ALL THINGS (Father, help me to bear others burdens, to exhort, lift others up and be strong in times of trial) Love BELIEVES ALL THINGS (Lord help me to believe the best about my brothers and sisters rather than listen to gossip, to believe only those things which are godly and edifying).

Love HOPES ALL THINGS (Lord help me to have perseverance in praying for others and to hope only in You). Love ENDURES ALL THINGS ( help me to be steadfast and strong in adversity, to walk in forgiveness no matter what  is done to me

Prayer of Thanksgiving - thank You Lord that You are our God and that You love us more than we can even imagine.  We determine to give thanks in all things no matter what our circumstances, knowing that You want the best for us and Your plans for us are for good and not for evil.

Psalm 107-“Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18– “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. ... Psalm 69:30–“I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving.”

Prayer for Protection

Lord, we stand on the promises of Psalm 91 that you keep us safe under the shadow of your wings when we take refuge in You.  We ask that you give your angels charge over us and our families as we serve you.  May the Blood of Jesus be on the doorposts of our lives so that we are protected.

Psalm 91:11-12 11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.

Prayer for Healing

Lord, You are our healer and we ask that you will release a healing anointing upon those who are sick in body or soul.  Mend broken bodies and quiet troubled minds.  Thank You that by Your stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Prayer for Marriages

Father, your greatest command was to love You and love each other You’ve given marriage as a holy relationship that reflects our relationship with You. Show us how to follow your example and set aside our selfishness and pride and humbly serve each other. Help us to be of one spirit and of one mind and value each other above ourselves, looking out for each other’s interests. In the midst of our busy lives, help us take time to love each other deeply from the heart, as you have loved us.  May the love we have for each other be an example to the world of how You love them and gave Your life for them.

Father, enable us to forgive each other as You have forgiven us. Help us not to hold onto bitterness, keep records of wrong, or allow the enemy any foothold in our relationship. Keep our hearts sensitive to You and each other, and move us to the work of reconciliation quickly. When we are wounded, help us be honest with each other and not fear retaliation. Help us to work through our differences in a way that honors You and strengthens our relationship.
