Chinook Country Quilters started in 1984 at the Station in Okotoks making charity quilts.
Oct.2006 Our group moved to St.Peters where we are able to do more with in a larger space.  We now concentrate on children's quilts up to 18 years of age for the mental ward at Children's Hospital in Calgary.
We start the 2nd Monday in Sept. And carry on to the first Monday in June for our annual Quilt Show.  This is open to the public.  In the Narthex we show case many of the Kids Quilts.   Many have already gone to the Hospital before this. Children a Hospital let us know when they need more.

Please see our webpage HERE for more information and a schedule of our events.

All are welcome to come check us out!!

You pray for your own needs and for the needs of others. You pray in the face of conflict, and you pray for forgiveness. You pray to pour out your heart to God and to gain a glimpse of God's heart for you.

As David Healey leads you through the prayers of men and women in the Bible (Mary, Abraham, Moses, Daniel and more!), you will gain new insights into why, what and how to pray. And you will experience more fully the adventure that prayer can be.

“Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.” This group is hosted by a third party and is not affiliated with our parish.

This year's series is a Beth Moore study entitled, “Breaking Free” and is based on Isaiah 61:1-4. It “draws a parallel between the Israelites in captivity and believers in spiritual strongholds today” and leads you to discover the transforming power of freedom in Christ.

The group meets every second Tuesday evening from 7-9/9:30ish and is open to all women 18 years and older (currently we have women from 30 something to almost 90!!).

If you are interested in attending or would like more information, please contact Lorrie Hartley @ 403-850-0851.
