Seeking The Sun

Hi Folks, it's me again…the Reverend Cedric Parsons, (retired). I don't know about you but I hate this time of year, it's cold, very cold, the snow lies "deep and crisp and even", as the song goes, the roads are filthy and covered with sprinkle, (stones to break your window screen!) it's the most depressing time of year, so good luck to the Snowbirds, who escape for a few months to seek the SUN, sea and relaxation in the warmth, not that I'm jealous, okay maybe a little envious. But if I can't get about, at least I can stay in the warmth of my home and settle down with a good book, and even the "Good Book", the bible, and seek the SON and the warmth of his love. Why not discover the SON for yourself and try reading through the gospels, Mathew, Mark, Luke and John, perhaps one per month, take your time, to think and meditate, on the good news contained in the good book, you know there are many ways of trying to beat hose winter blues, and you don't have travel far either, but in my opinion, there really is none better than renewing your relationship with the real SON Jesus, and spending a little time. With the creator of the SUN.

I’m reminded of the verse “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Your last blog was a great reminder that we are called to reflect the “Son-shine!!”
